Chiropractic Care for Racine

Racine, Wisconson chiropractor, Dr. John Fisher

Simply put I was a skeptic........until it happened to me!

For a long time I listened to the stories from my sisters and my future wife about how chiropractic was helping them with their back pain, headaches and general health.  I even went along a few times to watch how the chiropractor adjusted them and how good they felt afterwards but I never went in to get checked. That is until one day I bent over to pick up a pencil and ….it happened.

Out of nowhere I had excruciating low back pain that shot down my legs. The pain was so bad that I could barely walk.  That day I saw my sisters’ chiropractor that examined me took some x-rays and explained to me what had happened to my spine and nervous system.  It was that day that I knew that I wanted to be a chiropractor. Within a short time the pain went away and I was able to get back to my normal activities, and I returned to school and began the path to Chiropractic College.

Dr. Fisher attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where earned a Bachelors Degree before attending chiropractic college at Northwestern College of Chiropractic where earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a second Bachelors degree.

While at Northwestern he studied and had a particular interest in biomechanics, rehabilitation and acupuncture.

Dr. Fisher says “That it is very important for all of us to be active in your own health care.  Therefore I take time to go to the gym and work out several times per week.  In addition I supplement my diet with vitamins, mineral, fish oils, that I cannot get in my normal diet.  I also make it a point to get a chiropractic check up every week or two.  My wife and children get regular chiropractic checkups and adjustments several times a month.”  Dr. Fisher says, “Being healthy isn’t an accident it takes a commitment.”

“Thank you for visiting our site. I hope that it can be a resource for hope and healing I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you.

Dr. John Asks some important questions of interest to Racine residents - Chiropractor Racine Dr. John Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Racine folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Racine chiropractic practice.
